Inspired by the Portrait Monument, RISE takes as its inspiration Adelaide Johnson’s 1921 Portrait Monument in the Capitol rotunda, depicting Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony and one face left uncarved. In this magical realist take, a girl scout becomes lost in the Capitol while look for a ladies room. She encounters a friendly Capitol Police officer and the ghost of Adelaide Johnson.
